The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum is pleased to present a Zoom talk on the History of Chinese School in SD. It will be Saturday, March 6 at 10 am.

The speaker/researcher is John Lee Wong. John grew up in SD and attended the Chung Wah School when it was located at the Chinese Congregational Church on 1st Ave and CCBA. I also attended this school and can recall some of the first words taught and pictures from my first lesson book. I began Chinese School when I was 7 or 8 years old, Monday thru Friday.

Please share this event. And if you have pictures/documents to share with researchers, kindly let us know.

Wherever Chinese go throughout the world, Chinese language schools exit. Not only language and culture are learned and taught, but long-lasting memories and friendships are created.
