50 Cultural Open Houses and more than 200 hours of service. Moon Festival featuring Xing Jian Dance Studio and Lucky Lion Dance Troupe. December Nites, Balboa Park. Chinese New Year Celebration with 550 guests featuring hula hoop and Happy Chef acrobatic entertainment, Xing Jian Dancing Studio, and San Diego Chinese Folk Dance Ensemble, and popular Lucky Lion Dance troupe at Ly’s Garden Restaurant. Celebration held in partnership with Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, Chinese Service Center, Chinese School of San Diego, U.S. China People Friendship Association, January 28, 2008. Chinese Street Fair culture booth. Sponsored by San Diego Chinese Center. February 17 and 18, 2008. Hosted Ladies Auxiliary lunch of the Houses of Pacific Relations, 4/9. Partnering with Museum of Man to present Chinese Wood Block Exhibit display case items, craft demonstrations and food for 4/24 Tower After Hours Program, sponsorship of 4/30 artist Xian Rong Yong reception and sharing entertainment 5/25. Events held in association with American Chinese Cultural and Education Foundation and Sino American Biopharmaceutical Professionals Raised $5179 to aid local family battling cancer. Raised $2368.51 to 5/12/08 China Earthquake victims, posted fundraising website with over 2,000 hits, and collected funds at various venues. Ethnic Food and Culture Fair, Balboa Park, May 25, 2008.
